2 – Two ENISE students start their own business

Two ENISE graduates who completed their Mechanical Engineering degrees in September 2020, Eddy Bernou and Thibault Agius, who share a passion for manufacturing processes, have put their heads together to develop an innovative project.

Since 2019, the young entrepreneurs have been developing and testing their metal Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) concept; in spite of a difficult patch during lockdown, Eddy and Thibault brought their project to fruition when they created Axive Additive at the end of 2020.

Equipped with a robot production cell and an advanced software solution, the company offers manufacturing services for proofs of concept, prototypes, single parts and small production runs, as well as a CAD improvement and redesign service for existing parts.

Excellent proof of the agility and determination shown by students despite the prevailing atmosphere of uncertainty, Eddy and Thibault have developed their know-how and now aim to establish Axive Additive as the leading French subcontractor specialising in WAAM production in the next few years.
